Following Matt Berry’s recent, hugely acclaimed eighth studio album The Blue Elephant, on 20th August Acid Jazz will reissue his first two albums on vinyl.

In 2013 Acid Jazz released Matt’s second album, the astounding Kill The Wolf. Building on and expanding on the sound of his label debut it mixed baroque folk with psychedelia.

The album includes the well-received single ‘Medicine’, the ruralistic ‘Gather Up’, as featured in What We Do In The Shadows, and the nine-minute ‘Solstice’ which was championed by BBC Radio 6 Music.

This Is its first reissue on vinyl and comes as a reproduction of the rare gatefold issue, complete with insert, this time printed on bottle green vinyl.

Since the release of these two albums, Matt has released a further six more records on the Acid Jazz label. His most recent, The Blue Elephant, a sensory, psychedelic backseat joyride exploring the disorientation and distortions of modern life, received huge acclaim (see below) and charted at number 2 on the Indie Chart.

Once again proving in his tenth year with Acid Jazz, the ever-prolific Matt Berry’s artistic progression and ambition knows no bounds.

While I'm a huge fan of electronic music, I love when these projects also introduce a narrative aspect. The unfolding history of Martin's musical journey adds such a wonderful dimension while listening to these albums. Not to mention the great visuals, too. M0T0M
